Saint Lucia and Grenada are two of the finest producers of chocolate. Although chocolate has been produced in these Caribbean countries for centuries, there has been a resurgence in the fine art of chocolate making. Artisanal chocolatiers have developed a form of craft chocolate, taking it from bean to bar in the most authentic ways possible. This has attracted chocolate tourists from around the world! In Saint Lucia, visit Rabot Hotel, also known as Hotel Chocolat. Nestled in a 140-acre cacao farm, this hotel offers a Tree to Bar Experience. This exclusive opportunity begins with a walk through the cacao groves before harvesting cacao pods from the tree. Finally, with the guidance of an expert chocolatier, you will shell, grind and create your own chocolate bar. In Grenada, visit Belmont Estate, a 17th century cocoa plantation. Their Chocoholic Dream experience will guide you along the bean to bar processes, learning to make chocolate, and ending the experience off with lunch featuring dishes made from chocolate. This is a great gift for chocolate aficionados of all ages.

Diving into the home of hammerhead sharks is not your everyday experience. This is a highly unique and exclusive opportunity. The warm waters of Belize make it the beloved home to many shark species, including hammerhead sharks. These sharks are elusive and not something many divers get the opportunity to see – unless, of course, they visit Belize. One of the best locations to see hammerhead sharks is near Placencia. It will feel like you are in an aquarium with coral beds, sandy bottoms, and reef systems. You’ll also see a variety of colorful fish and other species of sharks swimming around you.  SeaHorse Dive Shop offers world-class diving and adventures that will train, certify and guide you along with your diving experience.

Visit the Luminous Lagoon in Jamaica.

The Luminous Lagoon is a waterway stretching from Rock to Falmouth and was once the most pivotal port in the country. What makes it so special, and gives it its name, is the millions of dinoflagellates that call it home. These microscopic organisms glow when disturbed, creating an extraordinary glow beneath the water, casting shadows on the many other fish and marine life living beneath.  This breath-taking phenomenon is best viewed via a private tour. You can marvel at the natural beauty from your boat or jump in and let the luminous water surround you. Ther’re many private tour providers available, with many hotels offering Glistening Water tours.

This prestigious regatta is held at the end of April, with five days of competitive racing. Each year, over 1000 yachts participate, some over 100 feet! There are also exciting dingy races to enjoy. The best place to spectate is from Shirley Heights Lookout. This restaurant offers some of the best views of the island and is the perfect spot to watch the start of the race.
